Feed mill sales manager

Job Summary: 

The Feed Mill Sales Manager will lead sales efforts for our feed products, focusing on building and maintaining customer relationships, driving sales growth, and achieving revenue targets. 

This role requires a strong understanding of the animal nutrition industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with production and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to expand market presence and increase sales of feed products 
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new client prospects in the agricultural sector
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, adjusting strategies accordingly
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team, providing training and support to ensure they meet performance targets
• Collaboration: Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Sales Reporting: Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our feed products and their benefits to effectively communicate with customers
• Industry Networking: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote products and expand professional connections

Qualifications

Education: preferably Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in the agricultural or feed industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets

Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent negotiation and closing abilities Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities

Knowledge: Familiarity with animal nutrition, feed formulations, and regulatory compliance is preferred
