Feed Lab Technician

The Feed Lab Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses on feed samples to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards. This role involves routine sampling, testing, and reporting results to support the production and quality assurance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Collection: Collect and prepare feed samples for analysis from various sources.
- Testing and Analysis: Perform laboratory tests to assess nutritional content, contaminants, and quality parameters of feed products.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Data Management: Record and analyze test results, maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory logs.
- Compliance: Ensure all testing processes comply with regulatory and safety standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present findings to management and provide recommendations based on test results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage laboratory supplies and equipment inventory.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Biology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous laboratory experience, preferably in the feed or agricultural industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with feed formulation and nutritional analysis.
