Procurement Officer

Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process for goods and services in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products, ensuring the best value for the organization while maintaining quality and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Purchasing:
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve favorable agreements.
    • Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
    • Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with inventory management teams to forecast purchasing needs.
    • Ensure that inventory levels are maintained efficiently to meet organizational demands.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
  • Cost Analysis:
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and pricing.
    • Develop cost-saving strategies and implement best practices in procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing procurement.
  • Two years of experience in procurement or supply chain management

  • Excellent English language
